Valentin Caron do an appropriation of Marino Di Teana*
exposed at the FIAC Paris and in Zurich by Eva Presenhuber Gallery
Audacious: The emergent artist Valentin Carron did a 3D cast of “Aube”,
The artist Valentin Carron is affected by discovering a corten steel sculpture by Marino di Teana, which is located on the forecourt of the Museum of Art and History of the city of Neuchâtel in Switzerland.
Particularly sensitized by simplicity, but also the balance and the monumentality of this piece, the valaisan artist decide to make an appropriation.
However, this sculpture is in the midst of other works (Ramseyer, Crivelli, Henry Presset ...), but Valentin Carron chooses this form that inspires the most.
Using a simple meter, Valentin Carron recreated the original sculpture in resin.
The size of the sculpture, patina color oxide Corten steel and even carved base in stone by Di Teana are carried out with great skill. Appropriation or plagiarism where is the limit ? A radio or télévision emission will be organised by Kamel Mennour on this subject.
