Very old sculpture exhibited at the Art Basel : "Tribute to Mr. Devenay" serial ICARE
Mr. Louis Devenay was the director of a metallurgy factory in Pantin. Around 1956, he proposed to Marino to come to work at the plant in a space that would be reserved.
Marino could use the tools and steel made available. Many sculptures of the "50s", often exposed at the Denise René gallery were made in this factory.
This sculpture is part of, and this archive photo from 1959 was taken on the front of the first workshop of Di Teana. He had built in the back of a courtyard at 35 rue Truffaut in Paris 17th. The painter George Perez Roman is to the right of Marino di Teana
