To begin the year 2019, we announce the official release of the box containing the monograph and the catalog raisonné of the sculptured work of Marino di Teana.
800 pages, 6 years of research, hundreds of pieces found, thousands of referenced photos, kilos of archives, the surprise of monumental sculptures honored or abandoned ...
Marino's life is worthy of a movie:
Born in the village of Teana, whose way of life has not changed since the Etruscans, he is sent to Argentina by his grandfather, which prevents him from dying like his brother in Stalingrad in 1943. A life terribly difficult is waiting for him in Argentina, and at the end of his successful studies, he decides to go back to Europe where he is the heart of the world's artistic heritage.
In Paris, he lives in the street, but thanks to his strength of character at work, he will live all his life of his art, which is already in itself a feat. He will befriend many unknown artists at the time: Oteiza, Zadkine, Seuphor, Vasarely, The Park, Claisse, Tomasello, Agam, Giacometti, Chillida ...
This story of an incredible life retraced by Malika Vinot, editor and coordinator of the project. Thanks to Jean-François Roudillon, director of the LOFT gallery who initiated this adventure, and a whole team of professionals and admirers who took part. to this pharaonic project.
The official presentation will take place at the one-man show of the Paris Art Fair in the center of the Grand Palais. April 3 - 7, 2019
The box will be available (public price 130 euros). A subscription is already possible for an immediate shipment at the pre-subscription price of 90 euros.
