The wooden sculpture Homage to the United States of the World, directed by Di Teana made entirely by hand with beams of recovery.
This sculpture was acquired by the Art Modern museum of Paris in 1974, following the Di Teana retrospective at the museum.
The journalist wrote : "Mystery: call this as you want !"
The daily Paris-Jour on February 13, 1963 publishes a photo of the sculpture Tribute to the United States of the World and wrote = "This is called" Tribute to the United States universal. "Why ? this is a mystery. But why not after all ?
At the show the new realities, among the works of 130 painters and sculptors abstract, the work of Mr. Di Teana was a big success. This "Space shape" which recalls nothing in existence - and do not pretend to be - was work in solid oak. "
The reporter did not understand that Marino di Teana created and sees her sculptures as architectural structures that can transform themselves as living buildings. This sculpture is designed to be monumental, and even become a "city of the future."
This piece oak handmade, this "mystery" was acquired by the Modern Art Museum in Paris in 1976:
